Old Age Psychiatry Consultant

We are seeking highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrists to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry, you will provide clinical leadership to the South Bucks OA CMHT, working closely with consultant psychiatrist colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to the South Bucks OA CMHT, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.
- Conduct outpatient clinics, including memory clinics, and provide clinical leadership to the wider CMHT.
- Develop and implement effective clinical governance strategies to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Work closely with social care and other agencies to deliver integrated care services.
- Contribute to the development of clinical policies and guidelines, ensuring they are evidence-based and effective.

- Membership or Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, or equivalent qualification.
- Approved clinician status and Section 12(MHA) approval.
- Higher specialist training in old age psychiatry, or equivalent experience.
- Experience of working in a Memory Assessment Service and close collaborative work with social care and other agencies.
- Higher degree or equivalent in a relevant field of medical, psychological, or other studies.
- Sub-specialty or other specialist clinical training relevant to the post.
- Application of evidence-based practice and interest in clinical and policy developments for this care group.
