Old Age Psychiatry Consultant

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrists to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist in Old Age Psychiatry, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership to the South Bucks OA CMHT, working closely with consultant psychiatrist colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to the South Bucks OA CMHT, working closely with consultant psychiatrist colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care.
- See patients in the community, out-patients, and occasional liaison patients, undertaking one outpatient clinic per week and one Memory Assessment Service clinic per week.
- Provide clinical leadership to the wider CMHT, working collaboratively with social care and other agencies.
- Develop and implement effective clinical governance strategies to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives to drive excellence in patient care.

- Approved clinician Status and Section 12(MHA) approval.
- Higher specialist training in old age psychiatry, or equivalent experience.
- Experience of the full range of clinical responsibilities expected of a consultant in this specialty.
- Experience of close collaborative work with social care and other agencies.
