We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrists to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry, you will provide clinical leadership to the South Bucks OA CMHT, working closely with consultant psychiatrist colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to the South Bucks OA CMHT, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.
- See patients in the community, out-patients, and occasional liaison patients, with a focus on functional and organic mental illness in adults over 65.
- Undertake one outpatient clinic per week, with a maximum of two new patients or up to five follow-up patients, and one Memory Assessment Service clinic per week, with the same maximum patient numbers.
- Provide clinical leadership to the wider CMHT, working closely with consultant psychiatrist colleagues and other professionals to develop and implement effective care plans.

We are looking for Consultant Psychiatrists who meet the following criteria:
- Membership or Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, or equivalent qualification.
- Approved clinician Status and Section 12(MHA) approval, with candidates in the process of obtaining AC approval considered.
- Higher specialist training in old age psychiatry, or equivalent training in another country, or previous consultant experience relevant to this post.
- CCT in Psychiatry, or inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in psychiatry, or within six months of achieving CCT at the time of interview, or CESR.
- Experience of the full range of clinical responsibilities expected of a consultant in this specialty.
- Experience of close collaborative work with social care and other agencies.
- Experience of working in a Memory Assessment Service.
