About the Role
Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry to provide clinical leadership to the South Bucks OA CMHT. The successful candidate will work closely with consultant psychiatrist colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of the team.
Main Responsibilities
The Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry will be responsible for seeing patients in the community, out-patients, and occasional liaison patients. They will undertake one outpatient clinic per week and one Memory Assessment Service clinic per week, with a maximum of two new patients or up to five follow-up patients per clinic. The post-holder will also provide clinical leadership to the wider CMHT and contribute to the development of the team.

Person Specification
The successful candidate will have a strong background in old age psychiatry, with experience of working in a Memory Assessment Service and close collaborative work with social care and other agencies. They will also have a commitment to active clinical governance, the ability to promote effective team working, and a capacity to prioritise workload.
