Old Age Psychiatry Consultant

We are seeking highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrists to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry, you will provide clinical leadership to the South Bucks OA CMHT, working closely with consultant psychiatrist colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to the South Bucks OA CMHT, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.
- See patients in the community, out-patients, and occasional liaison patients, with a focus on functional and organic mental illness in adults over 65.
- Undertake one outpatient clinic per week, with a maximum of two new patients or up to five follow-up patients, and one Memory Assessment Service clinic per week.
- Provide clinical leadership to the wider CMHT, supporting the development of New Ways of Working for Consultant Psychiatrists.

- Higher specialist training in old age psychiatry or equivalent experience.
- Experience of the full range of clinical responsibilities expected of a consultant in this specialty, including working in a Memory Assessment Service.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework and share leadership responsibilities with senior colleagues.
