Old Age Psychiatry Consultant

We are seeking highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrists to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry, you will provide clinical leadership to the South Bucks OA CMHT, working closely with consultant psychiatrist colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to the South Bucks OA CMHT, working closely with consultant psychiatrist colleagues.
- See patients in the community, out-patients, and occasional liaison patients, undertaking one outpatient clinic per week and one Memory Assessment Service clinic per week.
- Provide clinical leadership to the wider CMHT, working collaboratively with social care and other agencies.
- Develop close collaboration with primary care services and apply evidence-based practice and interest in clinical and policy developments for this care group.

- Membership or Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, or equivalent qualification.
- Approved clinician Status and Section 12(MHA) approval are essential.
- Higher specialist training in old age psychiatry (or dual training) in approved training post for a minimum of three years, equivalent training in another country, or previous consultant experience relevant to this post.
- CCT in Psychiatry OR inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in psychiatry OR within six months of achieving CCT at the time of interview OR CESR.
