We are seeking an experienced and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our friendly team delivering specialist therapy services to children and young people across Buckinghamshire.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to help shape and develop our school age therapy services across health, education and social care settings.
As a Specialist Occupational Therapist School Aged Pathway Lead, you will be responsible for carrying out specialist occupational therapy assessments for children and young people aged 5-19 years old going through the EHCP process, identifying their support needs and required provision.
You will produce high-quality professional advice and reports to inform EHCP decisions, build effective working relationships with children, families, schools and other agencies, and play a key role in service improvement initiatives to enhance our EHCP pathway.
You will also supervise and guide more junior clinical staff, monitor progress, and maintain timely and comprehensive clinical records.
Contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings and collaborate on joint goal-setting for Education Health and Care Plans. Co-produce EHCP assessments with various stakeholders (parents/agencies/schools).
Manage the EHCP caseload of School Aged CYP, manage tribunals and mediations by reviewing evidence, preparing reports, and attending hearings/meetings to represent and advise on occupational therapy recommendations under the guidance of the Operational Lead.
