About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Operations Engineer to join our team at DWP Digital. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality application operations that meet the needs of our users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in application operations, ensuring the smooth delivery of services to our users.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Service Owners, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineers, to drive reliability, performance, and support.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring that our operations processes are well-documented and easily accessible.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, providing 24/7 support for our applications and services.
  • Contribute to the development of our operations strategy, ensuring that we are always looking for ways to improve our services and processes.

What You'll Need:

  • Proven experience in application operations, with a strong understanding of cloud and on-premises technologies.
  • Excellent technical skills, with a focus on Linux, Windows servers, SQL and Non-SQL databases, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering practices, with a focus on automation and continuous improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
