Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Support Engineer to join our team at McLaren Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining robust processes within our Machine Shop, ensuring efficient and effective workflow management.

About the Role
As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Planning to optimize the flow of work into the Machine Shop. Your primary objective will be to maintain reliable and consistent set and run times estimates, ensuring that job packs are clear, concise, and promote flow throughout the shop.

Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the planning and Manufacturing Engineering Teams to schedule and accept work into the Machine Shop, respecting project planning and available capacity
• Work shoulder-to-shoulder with Shift Leads and Team Leaders to support the delivery of right first time, in full results
• Deliver work acceptance into the shop with reliable and consistent set and run times estimates
• Support Manufacturing Engineering to ensure raw material requirements are known and considered at the earliest opportunity
• Identify long lead items such as gauges, bespoke cutters, and fixtures and develop a robust plan for their timely arrival to the Machine Shop
• Contribute to the review of final setup and run times to support future planning estimates and drive improvement projects
• Communicate critical information and project opportunities to Process Engineers
• Provide data and insights to enhance the development of MRP & MES systems
• Offer feedback on operational achievements, risks, issues, and opportunities during monthly team meetings

Requirements
To excel in this role, you will need:
• Experience working in high-tech manufacturing environments
• Proven track record of cross-functional liaison and delivery management
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products and MRP & MES systems
• Ability to develop and participate in team-oriented environments
• Excellent communication skills, adaptability, and professional attitude
• Flexibility and self-motivation to support the team
• Results-driven approach, with a focus on delivering best practices
