About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Forensic Nurse or Paramedic to join our team as a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional. This is an exciting alternative career option open to RGN's and qualified Paramedics with 3+ years' post qualification experience.

Custody is a dynamic and lively environment, where no two days are the same. As a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional, you will work closely with the police and receive training and support to become an accredited Forensic Practitioner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Forensic sampling (including road traffic offence bloods).
  • Signposting and conducting referrals; offering support for vulnerabilities and supporting patients to break patterns of re-offending.
  • Delivering substance misuse therapies.
  • Assessment & care of detainees and staff in custody suites.
  • Acute disease management.
  • Promoting good personal healthcare.
  • Working with Liaison and Diversion to identify any mental health needs.
