Job Description

We are seeking an experienced further education funding and management information specialist to join our established Education and Skills Funding and Data Specialist Team, experiencing a significant increase in demand for assurance and advisory services.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and Mayoral Combined Authority (MCA) funding rules, including Individualised Learner Record (ILR) specification requirements. This role involves supervisory/project management capacity, training delivery, thought leadership, and line management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Funding assurance/advisory – reviewing providers' compliance with ESFA funding rules or advising on process improvements.
  • Training – delivering training to RSM clients and staff on funding compliance and ILR specifications.
  • Thought leadership – developing pieces on changes to funding rules and their impact on providers.
  • Line management – overseeing Consultants, providing training, and coaching.

Requirements

  • Detailed understanding of ESFA and MCA funding methodology and associated rules.
  • Ability to review and manage technical content of work.
  • Effective working relationships and listening skills.
