Nursery Manager Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery, Bright Stars Nursery Ltd. Our aim is to provide an outstanding childcare experience for children and the best opportunities for their development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Staff Management: Take full responsibility for staffing, induction, training, and development needs to ensure a high-quality team.
  • Reporting and Monitoring: Ensure systems are in place for accurate reporting and monitoring to maintain high standards.
  • Financial Management: Adhere to occupancy and financial budgets and targets to ensure the nursery's financial stability.
  • Database Management: Ensure the Connect Childcare database system is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Extra-Curricular Activities: Ensure extra-curricular activities meet the requirements of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) to provide a well-rounded experience for children.
  • Safeguarding and Child Protection: Take full responsibility for safeguarding and child protection within the nursery to ensure a safe environment.
  • Delivery of EYFS: Ensure the delivery of the EYFS to provide a high-quality education for children.
  • Liaison with Professionals: Ensure timely and effective liaison with outside professionals to support children's needs.
  • SENDCo Support: Work closely with the Nursery SENDCo in all aspects of SENDCo to provide support for children with special educational needs.
  • Recruitment Process: Ensure the safer recruitment process is adhered to to protect children and staff.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete the weekly rotas and registers for staff and children attendance, and provide the required policies and procedures.
  • Child Well-being: Ensure the physical health and well-being of children within the nursery.
