Nursery Manager Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. At Bright Stars Nursery Ltd, our environment and development programmes are tailored for each age range, providing a range of creative activities to help children develop and prepare them for their next steps in education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management
    • Take full responsibility for staffing, induction, training, and development needs.
    • Ensure systems are in place for accurate reporting and monitoring.
  • Financial Management
    • Adhere to occupancy and financial budgets and targets.
    • Ensure the Connect Childcare database system is accurate.
  • Quality and Safety
    • Ensure the extra-curricular activities meet the requirements of the EYFS.
    • Ensure the Nursery and all rooms adhere to staff ratios and staff deployment.
    • Take full responsibility for safeguarding and child protection within Nursery.
    • Ensure the delivery of the EYFS.
  • Communication and Liaison
    • Ensure timely liaison with outside professionals.
    • Work closely with the Nursery SENDCo in all aspects of SENDCo.
    • Ensure the safer recruitment process is adhered to.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Complete the weekly rotas and registers for staff and children attendance.
    • Provide the required policies and procedures and the necessary support.
    • Ensure the physical health and well-being of children within the Nursery.
