To achieve this vision, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our team. As a Senior Underwriter, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating and approving credit proposals, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible financial support.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Credit Review and Approval: Conduct thorough credit reviews and sanction asset finance transactions up to a personal credit underwriting mandate limit.
  • Transaction Analysis: Analyze and provide recommendations on transactions being presented to the Transactional Credit Committee.
  • Watch List Compilation: Contribute to the compilation of the Watch List/Business Support List and participate in relevant forums.
  • Credit Policy Development: Have responsibility for reviewing and recommending changes to Credit Policy in terms of risk appetite for asset classes & asset types, products, and terms of lending.
  • Stakeholder Management: Effectively manage stakeholders and communicate with Sales teams to ensure SLAs for deal decisions are managed.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong Financial Analysis Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of Soft and Hard Assets: In-depth understanding of soft and hard assets, including cash flow analysis for larger transactions.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, including Sales teams and Credit Committee members.
  • Proven Asset Finance Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in asset finance, with a strong background in underwriting and credit management.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
