About the Position

This role involves delivering a trauma-informed outreach support service, working closely with local authorities, police, and other agencies to safeguard individuals and manage risks associated with supporting vulnerable people involved in the sex industry.

You will be responsible for developing support plans, undertaking risk assessments, and providing advocacy for women who have been exploited. A strong understanding of the issues surrounding sex work and sexual violence is essential for this role.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • To provide high-quality outreach support services, prioritising the needs of women who have been exploited.
  • To work in partnership with local authorities, police, and other agencies to achieve better outcomes for women affected by sex work and sexual violence.
  • To develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including service users, partners, and colleagues.
  • To contribute to regular visits to local parlours/brothels, offering support and building positive working relationships.
  • To carry a caseload of clients, providing cover when necessary, and working collaboratively with the team to ensure effective service delivery.
Requirements

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in social care, preferably in the field of sex work and sexual violence. You will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

A salary of £28,000 - £33,000 per annum reflects the importance of this role in supporting vulnerable women.
