About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our CAMHS Initial Assessment Team in Oldham. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in assessing and formulating treatment plans for young people, working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments of young people, including urgent and routine assessments, and formulate treatment plans in collaboration with the team.
  • Work autonomously within the context of a multi-disciplinary team approach, undertaking specific work with young people and their families.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with young people, their families, and other stakeholders, including education and children's services.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of treatment plans, ensuring that they are evidence-based and tailored to the individual needs of each young person.
  • Monitor and evaluate treatment outcomes, using routine outcome measures to inform service development and reporting.
Requirements
  • NMC nursing, social work, OT, or equivalent health/social care qualification and active registration with the relevant regulatory body.
  • Significant post-qualification experience in community mental health services to postgraduate diploma level.
  • Professional involvement with the users of mental health services.
  • Experience of case management of young people, multi-agency working, and therapeutic interventions with young people.
