Position Overview:
The primary objective of this role is to facilitate introductory English language activities and courses aimed at learners from Pre-entry to Entry level 3. This will be conducted in community environments, including temporary accommodation and local libraries. The successful candidate will assist residents in enhancing their English language capabilities, thereby fostering independence and resilience in accessing various services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish connections with community organizations to enhance access to English language development for residents.
- Design and prepare initial assessments, lesson plans, and appropriate educational resources tailored for Pre-entry to Entry level learners.
- Ensure that the unique needs of each learner are addressed, with progress being systematically monitored and documented.
- Complete necessary administrative duties, including attendance records, learner agreements, and risk assessments.
- Provide ongoing assessment for individuals and groups to support their learning journey and ensure successful outcomes.
Essential Qualifications:
To excel in this position, candidates must possess:
- A relevant subject qualification at level 3 or equivalent.
- A recognized teaching qualification.
- Strong organizational skills to effectively deliver educational content in a community setting, particularly within the Post 19 sector, along with practical experience in the ESOL curriculum.
