About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist to join our Group IT Operations team at PureGym Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users of our software applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide timely and effective technical support to users of our software applications, including diagnosing and resolving technical issues, answering user inquiries, and providing guidance on application usage.
  • Issue Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for application-related support requests that the Service Desk cannot resolve, documenting issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in a ticketing system.
  • Application Maintenance: Perform application installations, upgrades, and configurations, ensuring compatibility with existing systems and adherence to security and compliance requirements.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor application performance and availability, proactively identifying and addressing issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting procedures, to facilitate self-service support and knowledge sharing.
  • Testing and Validation: Participate in the testing and validation of application changes, enhancements, and updates, ensuring they meet quality standards and do not adversely impact user experience.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in application support and IT service management.
  • User Training: Provide training and support to end users, helping them leverage the full capabilities of Puregym's software applications.
Requirements
  • Experience: Ideally a minimum of 2 years of experience in IT application support or a similar role, with a strong understanding of software applications and their underlying technologies.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting software applications, with experience diagnosing and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
  • ITIL Knowledge: Familiarity with ITIL best practices and IT service management processes, such as incident management, problem management, and change management.
