About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Recovery Navigator to join our team at Second Step. As a key member of our MINT hub, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with their mental health and wellbeing.

Your primary responsibility will be to establish trusting relationships with clients, providing advocacy and guidance to help them achieve their recovery goals. You will work closely with our team of mental health professionals, social care staff, GPs, and voluntary sector organizations to ensure seamless support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting initial support conversations to inform clients' recovery plans
  • Supporting clients to use self-management tools, such as Wellness Recovery Action Plans
  • Providing skilled interventions and approaches, including motivational interviewing and solution-focused support
  • Helping clients navigate the system to access necessary support services

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting people to improve their mental health, with experience in working with individuals with mental health needs. You will be a good communicator, confident in working independently, and able to travel to support clients in the local community.
