About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced nurse, social worker, OT, or other suitably registered person to join our team as a Band 6 Specialist Intensive Practitioner in Swindon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead shifts as a shift coordinator, reviewing and accepting referrals, completing thorough core assessments, risk management, and care plans.
  • Implement risk management and care plans for effective home treatment, utilizing least restrictive practice at every opportunity.
  • Manage medication and concordance within the community.
Service Overview

The Swindon Intensive Service (SIS) is a 7-day-a-week, 8am-10pm service that requires the successful applicant to work a mixture of shifts to enrich their work-life balance.

Person Specification
  • Diploma level/Degree in a relevant health/social care profession (e.g., RMN, OT, Social Worker).
  • Substantial post-registration experience in frontline adult mental health services, undertaking assessment and delivering intervention.
  • Developed understanding of recovery principles and the role of secondary mental health services in delivering care.
