About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Pharmacy Procurement and Homecare Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the pharmacy team in the procurement and management of medicines for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Procurement and Homecare Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and building new contracts and frameworks for pharmacy procurement
  • Updating script templates and managing KPI reports
  • Managing switches to generic medicines and processing homecare prescriptions
  • Purchasing medicines, managing shortages, and invoicing
  • Assisting with the day-to-day running of the pharmacy procurement department

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Hospital pharmacy experience
  • Previous experience of working under pressure and to strict deadlines
