About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Pharmacy Homecare and Procurement Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of comprehensive pharmacy services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the review and development of existing contracts and frameworks for homecare and procurement services.
  • Update script templates and manage KPI reports to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Manage switches to generic medicines and process homecare prescriptions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Work closely with the pharmacy procurement team to assist in the day-to-day purchasing of medications for the Trust.
  • Coordinate medication shortages and run reports as required to support the team.
  • Proactively assist with stock control issues and contribute to the delivery of comprehensive pharmacy services to all areas of the department.

Requirements

  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Experience in hospital pharmacy, with a strong understanding of procurement and homecare services.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
  • Desirable: experience in procurement and homecare, with a strong understanding of financial management and data analysis.
