About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Safety Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a Nuclear Safety Engineer, you will play a vital role in assessing the risks for our nuclear clients to help them achieve their low-carbon energy ambitions.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Produce hazards assessments and author safety cases to justify critical decision-making in the design, operation, and decommissioning of nuclear facilities.
  • Work with diverse clients from defence, nuclear generation, and nuclear new build, including innovative players from the fusion and SMR markets.
  • Support technical delivery of projects, address complex problems, and present solutions to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to and learn from the wider technical community within AtkinsRéalis, taking advantage of global expertise to foster collaboration within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Develop and mentor junior engineers to support growth and improve project delivery capabilities.
