We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Development Teacher to join our supportive SEND School in Northumberland. In this role, you will have the opportunity to teach and support students who are unable to attend mainstream schooling, helping them engage with studies through tailored and accessible lessons.

  • Plan and deliver engaging DT lessons that meet the student's academic level and learning objectives, promoting effective learning outcomes.
  • Regularly assess student progress through testing and provide constructive feedback, guiding them towards achievement of their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development, share best practices, and explore innovative teaching strategies.
About the Role
  • The ideal candidate should possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification, demonstrating their commitment to educational excellence.
  • Experience in teaching Metal Work and Woodwork is highly desirable, showcasing their ability to adapt to diverse teaching requirements.
