Construction Project Manager

We are Footprint, and we are seeking a highly skilled Social Housing Cost Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying and experience in the social housing sector.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the delivery of new build social housing projects, providing accurate cost estimates and managing project budgets.
About the Role:
- Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates for social housing projects
- Monitor project costs and identify potential cost savings
- Manage variations and claims
- Prepare and submit interim and final accounts
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and identify potential issues
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Planning and Estimation: Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates for social housing projects, taking into account factors such as materials, labor, and equipment costs.
- Project Monitoring: Monitor project costs and identify potential cost savings, ensuring that projects are delivered within budget.
- Variations and Claims: Manage variations and claims, ensuring that they are processed efficiently and effectively.
- Accounting and Reporting: Prepare and submit interim and final accounts, ensuring that all financial information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
- Site Visits and Risk Assessment: Conduct site visits to assess progress and identify potential issues, ensuring that risks are mitigated and projects are delivered safely and efficiently.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, ensuring that projects are delivered in accordance with industry best practices.
Requirements:
- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Proven experience in quantity surveying within the social housing sector
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Excel, CostX, Asite)
Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 + Package
