Job Title: Clerical Assistant

Job Summary:

This role involves providing administrative support to the school community, ensuring the smooth operation of the reception and clerical services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a welcoming and efficient reception service to members of the public and visitors to the school.
  • Perform general clerical duties, including typing, word processing, and bookkeeping as required.
  • Assist with the maintenance of accurate records and databases.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with staff, pupils, and parents.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of administrative procedures and policies.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a busy office environment, using relevant technology and equipment.
  • Significant clerical/administration/typing experience, including production of letters/reports, filing, cash handling, and dealing with the public.
  • Ability to use initiative when required and work flexibly in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with people at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Working Arrangements:

This is a temporary appointment until 27 June, working 22.5 hours per week (term time only). The starting salary is £23,115 (pro rata) or £12.59 per hour.
