Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Youth Support Specialist to join our team in Lincoln. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in helping young people aged 16-21 achieve independence. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with vulnerable groups and must be capable of working independently within a community setting.

The Role:

You will act as Keyworker for a group of young people, coordinating their support and developing personalized plans. You will work closely with Senior Support Workers and external agencies to deliver housing-related support and personal development programs. This includes facilitating regular consultations, guiding young people on budgeting and welfare benefits claims, and applying safeguarding protocols to ensure client welfare.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement support plans for young people
  • Coordinate housing management duties and facilitate property maintenance
  • Run activity programs and group sessions as required
  • Perform minor property maintenance tasks
  • Apply safeguarding protocols to ensure client welfare

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with vulnerable groups, preferably in a support role
  • Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and child protection protocols
  • Experience with housing management tasks, including property maintenance
  • Ability to respond to challenging behaviors constructively
  • Strong communication and record-keeping skills

Benefits:

  • 35 hours per week, rotating shift pattern (Tuesday - Friday, Monday - Thursday, Thursday - Sunday)
  • £17.14 per hour LTD company rate / £14.61 per hour PAYE, inclusive of holiday pay
  • Potential for contract extension
