We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Grant Thornton UK LLP. In this role, you will work closely with our Advisory, Quality Risk Management (AQRM) team to provide quality and risk management support to teams within our Deals Advisory & Consulting (DAC) practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide risk management and quality support to DAC teams and other advisory teams as required
  • Review drafts of engagement contracts and documents to support teams in negotiating the final contract with clients, liaising with AQRM and Legal as necessary
  • Spearhead training initiatives to enhance risk awareness among client-facing teams and individuals, ensuring they can manage risks effectively
  • Maintain and develop training materials, presenting at relevant sessions to promote knowledge sharing
  • Ensure required controls are understood and implemented by client-facing teams, helping to identify and manage emerging risks
  • Collaborate with central support teams like Legal and Ethics to help client-facing teams overcome challenges and improve policies and processes
  • Develop guidance materials and resources, including template documentation, to support service line file review and monitoring procedures
About You:

To succeed in this role, you'll need either a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA) with experience in an advisory business unit or a legal/risk management background with experience advising on contracts and developing policies.

Candidates should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude. A strong understanding of commercial principles, ethics, and digital solutions is also essential.
