Job Description

This Learning Disability Care Professional role is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with autism and learning disabilities.

About the Job:

  • The successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated team, providing daily care and support to individuals in a residential setting.
  • They will be responsible for building relationships, understanding service user needs, and empowering independence.
  • The role involves contributing to a positive and supportive living environment, promoting social engagement through activities like holidays, social events, and hobbies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Care & Support:
    • Providing assistance with personal care, meal preparation, medication, and other daily tasks.
  • Building Relationships:
    • Fostering strong relationships with service users, understanding their needs, and helping them achieve their goals.
  • Social Engagement:
    • Organizing activities that promote social interaction, leisure, and enjoyment.

Requirements:

  • A valid full UK manual driving license is required.
  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

Salary and Benefits:

£23,400 per annum, plus benefits, including paid induction, additional £1,200 per year based on 2 waking nights per month, overtime paid over 37 hours Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis.
