About the Role

This exciting opportunity offers a chance to work collaboratively with End of Life Care Leads, Voluntary Services, and other stakeholders to design and deliver a comprehensive End of Life Care Volunteer programme. You will be responsible for recruiting, training, supervising, and managing a team of volunteers, ensuring they receive the necessary support and resources to provide exceptional care to patients and their families.

Your success in this role will depend on your ability to foster strong relationships with colleagues, build trust with patients and their families, and navigate complex organizational systems. You must be able to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities
  • To develop, implement, and evaluate the End of Life Care Volunteer programme, ensuring its alignment with trust objectives and quality standards.
  • To recruit, train, supervise, and manage a team of End-of-Life Care Volunteers, promoting a culture of compassion, empathy, and respect.
  • To collaborate with clinical teams, the specialist palliative care team, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of patient care and support services.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a proven track record of leadership and teamwork, and a deep understanding of patient-centered care principles. We offer a competitive salary range of £38,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for career growth, professional development, and a comprehensive benefits package.
