Role Summary

This exciting opportunity exists for a skilled professional to develop, embed and manage a new End of Life volunteering service across UHBW. The successful candidate will work closely with Voluntary Services and End of Life Care Leads to establish a dedicated End of Life Care Volunteer programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train, manage and supervise a team of End-of-Life Care Volunteers
  • Establish a service that is embedded in the hospital and has long-term sustainability
  • Work in partnership with clinical teams and specialist palliative care teams to identify patients who would benefit from support
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service experience, including handling queries and sensitive information. They should also have knowledge of Equality & Diversity legislation and previous experience of volunteering or working with volunteers.

Proven ability to use Microsoft Office and related packages is also required. Knowledge of end of life or palliative care is essential, acquired through study or personal or professional experience.
