Job Summary
The Fragrance Manager is responsible for organizing customer and/or product-specific projects and serving as the single point of contact for assigned projects. This role requires strong administrative and organizational skills, as well as the ability to interface and communicate with the company's worldwide Client Relations professionals and external vendors to ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Order and maintain materials from ScentAir Operations for fragrance development testing purposes.
- Create finished goods items in ScentAir's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Maintain a database for label printing to ensure compliance with legislation.
- Provide first-line support to the Sales and Marketing team, requiring interaction with clients, suppliers, and other team members.
- Manage and control the development cycle of fragrances and assist in the promotion of new products.
- Support the organization of fragrance development lab and samples.
- Assist with project management, emphasizing communication of development project status.
- Regularly produce and ship fragrance samples for field-based sales teams.
- Provide data and assist in producing standard reports for Fragrance Development activities.
- Order and maintain materials from outside vendors for fragrance development testing purposes.
- Produce and ship fragrance samples to customers and/or sales teams.
- Facilitate internal fragrance development and operational processes, contributing to continuous improvement.
- Work with Engineering or outside vendor/partners for product development projects as assigned, supporting company growth and profitability through new product development and innovation.
- Author and assist in authoring standard reports for Fragrance Development activities, analyzing trends, and identifying opportunities for growth and cost reduction.
- Maintain superior organization of fragrance development lab, samples, tools, and equipment.
- Participate in fragrance evaluations with library recommendations.
- Manage registration of ScentAir fragrances and products in countries where the company operates.
- Update and improve fragrance consumption databases by collecting data and conducting self-tests.
- Organize fragrance training for sales teams.
- Collaborate with purchasing to negotiate and improve conditions with suppliers.
Requirements
- Associate's degree and 5+ years of working experience.
- Fluent in English and French, with other languages a plus.
- Based in Toulouse (France), Slough (UK), Madrid (Spain), or Rotterdam (NL).
- Demonstrable administrative and organizational skills.
- Interest in and willingness to learn fragrance evaluation skills and techniques.
- Operates with a sense of urgency.
- Experience working with CRM and/or ERP systems.
- Diligent in follow-up and follow-through.
- Competent in Microsoft Office.
