About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Disability North. The successful candidate will work closely with a family who has a child with special needs, providing support and assistance to enable the child to access opportunities in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support and assistance to the child with special needs, enabling them to participate in activities and access opportunities in the community.
  • Assist the family with respite care, providing a break for the parents when needed.
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the child, their family, and other professionals involved in their care.
  • Keep accurate records of the child's activities, progress, and any challenges faced.
Requirements

We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, patient, and understanding. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with special needs and a genuine interest in supporting families. Training will be provided.
