**Job Description**

Early Rehabilitation Support

The Occupational Therapist will work with patients who require specialist cognitive rehabilitation, providing intensive daily therapy programmes to support their recovery. This role is critical in supporting patient flow through the service by assessing for and providing therapeutic intervention for the implementation and use of cognitive strategies to support independence in everyday activities.

The successful candidate will be able to work under pressure, organize and prioritize tasks, and delegate duties as needed. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to document legible and accurate notes using the SOAP note writing system according to local standards.

**Requirements**

  • 18 months post-qualification Occupational Therapy clinical experience, with at least a year in an acute setting.
  • 1 year's previous NHS experience as a qualified Occupational Therapist or undergraduate student.
  • Experience of general assessment and intervention with patients in a physical setting.
  • Student supervision and clinical audit/research experience.

**Salary and Benefits**

This position comes with a competitive salary of £44,806 - £53,134 per annum pro-rata, inclusive of HCAS (inner). The successful candidate will also have access to BAOT membership and be able to work within Trust's policies of data protection, equal opportunities, and Health and Safety.
