About the Role
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a busy hotel and restaurant in the UK.
- As a key member of our culinary team, you will assist the Head Chef in leading the kitchen brigade and ensuring the delivery of exceptional food quality and service.
- You will be responsible for preparing and plating meals for lunch and dinner service, as well as managing the kitchen team and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
- Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control.
- Develop and implement new recipes and menu ideas.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop junior team members.
- Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Ability to work under pressure, think on your feet, and maintain a calm and professional demeanor.
