About the Role

  • As a key member of our culinary team, you will assist the Head Chef in overseeing the preparation and presentation of exquisite dishes for our discerning guests.
  • You will be responsible for leading the kitchen brigade in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring seamless service and maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Working closely with the Head Chef, you will develop and implement menus, manage kitchen inventory, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • You will also be responsible for mentoring and training junior chefs, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork within the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Lead the kitchen brigade in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring efficient service and maintaining high standards.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and stock control.
  • Mentor and train junior chefs, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Kitchen Manager in a high-end hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for creativity and innovation.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintaining a calm and composed demeanor in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and guests.
