Job Summary

This part-time post is suitable for experienced Occupational Therapy practitioners looking to extend their clinical expertise within the field of Autism, Learning Disabilities, and associated difficulties. You will work closely with other professionals providing support to students and reporting to the Therapy Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out individual student plans and deliver therapy programs for young people between ages 7 and 19
  • Offer timetabled 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Attend reviews for students
  • Support the education team and offer guidance when carrying out activities with students
  • Complete comprehensive reports and formal documents as required for individual students

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have at least two years of experience within this field or a related relevant setting. You will need to feel confident working as the only OT within the local therapy team. Good written and spoken communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well within a staff team are essential.

The salary for this role is approximately £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
