We are a global team of over 36,000 people in over 70 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life. /p> p>Our Environmental Planning team is seeking a Principal/Associate Technical Director with a strong track record of leading the environmental and consenting aspects of projects, particularly in the Design and Build Sector. As part of our Environmental team, you'll contribute to improving quality of life. With your expertise in environmental management, or technical or sustainability expertise, your work may involve: /p> ul> li>Surface water and materials management/li> li>Air quality/li> /ul> p>As we face the effects of climate change, rapid urbanization, and loss of biodiversity, we're committed to protecting our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. /p> p>As a Principal/Associate Technical Director, you'll work on a diverse range of projects, including large-scale energy and infrastructure, rail, highways, water, and mixed-use development schemes for both private and public clients, public realm and masterplanning projects, as well as smaller projects requiring a nimble and agile approach. We drive technical excellence in everything we do and promote a flexible and collaborative environment supported by digital innovation. /p> p>You'll play a key role in the successful delivery of multidisciplinary projects across the UK and worldwide, leading on the coordination and delivery of planning/environmental work undertaken by multi-disciplinary teams, influencing project development, and delivering optimal environmental and planning outcomes with a strong understanding of the D&B process. /p> p>Strong business development skills, creating project opportunities, and leading delivery of projects to build our portfolio in the D&B Sector, while working closely with upstream Environmental and Planning work. /p> p>Raising awareness of our services, winning new opportunities, and building new contacts. /p> p>Managing projects, overseeing our performance on technical, quality, commercial, and health and safety. /p> p>Excellent working knowledge of the environmental and consenting process, from EIA practices and procedures, including case law, and a solid understanding of environmental and sustainability principles and environmental technical specialisms. /p> p>Strong experience of working with Contractors and influencing sustainability through design. /p> p>Experience across a range of project types. /p> p>Strong report writing, verbal, and presentation skills with experience in reviewing the work of others to ensure quality. /p> p>Experience in multi-disciplinary coordination and leadership of projects, with good project management and technical skills. /p> p>Experience in consulting and negotiating with planning authorities, regulators, and stakeholders. /p> p>Commercial expertise, including forecasting, project management, and quality assurance. /p> p>A flexible, pragmatic, and collaborative approach to work. /p>
