About the Position

Vibe Recruit is recruiting for a Child Development Advocate to work with children and young people aged 0-18 who require additional support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a commitment to improving the lives of children.

Job Duties
  • Offer emotional and practical support to children, fostering confidence, resilience, and independence.
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans, ensuring each child's unique needs are met.
  • Advocate on behalf of children to guarantee their voices are heard and rights upheld.
  • Collaborate with families, schools, social workers, and other professionals to deliver coordinated care.
  • Organize activities promoting socialization, learning, and fun in a safe environment.
  • Respond promptly to crises, helping to stabilize situations and develop coping strategies.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children or young people in a support, care, or educational setting is preferred.
  • Relevant qualifications in childcare, social care, or a related field are desirable but not essential; we value experience and a passion for helping others.
  • A genuine commitment to improving the lives of children and an understanding of the challenges they may face.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required by the needs of the children.
  • A valid driver's license is essential, as the role may involve travel within Carmarthenshire.
Salary Range

£29,000 - £33,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
