We are looking to recruit Intervention Workers to work in the Resilient Families Team, Barnardo's Cymru Valleys Locality. You will be located in various offices across Rhondda Cynon Taff.
**About Resilient Families Team, Resilient Families Service**
The Resilient Families Team is part of the Resilient Families Service providing an early intervention and prevention service for families with children/young people aged 0-25yrs across Rhondda Cynon Taff. The service increases the resilience levels of the children, young people and their families through working alongside other partner agencies to ensure intervention plans are effectively delivered, delivering direct support and advocating for the children, young people and their families.
**Job Role**
You will undertake the role of Intervention Worker within the Resilient Families Team working across the Rhondda Cynon Taff area. Your duties will include:
- Engaging and establishing positive relationships with children, young people and their families
- Providing direct support to the children, young people and their families to enable positive change
- Working in partnership with Social Services, Education, Health and community agencies to develop, deliver and review family plans
- Dealing sensitively and effectively with child protection concerns
You will have:
- Experience of working with children, young people and their families
- Experience of partnership working with a range of voluntary and statutory agencies
- Ability to deal sensitively and effectively with child protection concerns
- Ability to communicate effectively with people from a wide variety of backgrounds
- Ability to coordinate support plans for children, young people and their families.
