About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Professional to join our team at Options Resourcing Ltd as a Sales Engineer. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for providing timely and accurate quotations for compressor packages by interpreting customer application requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reading and interpreting customer enquiries, including data sheets, project specifications, P&IDs, and terms and conditions.
  • Selecting appropriate materials of construction, flow control, sealing systems, lube oil systems, cooling, acoustic attenuation, and instrumentation for new compressors and compressor packages.
  • Advising customers on solutions based on their specific needs.
  • Performing calculations to size equipment such as compressors, motors, auxiliary systems, and components.
  • Writing RFQs for suppliers and estimating costs to calculate selling prices.
  • Writing proposal documents and supporting bids with detailed documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate records of opportunities and bids.
  • Attending meetings with customers to discuss technical requirements.
Requirements
  • A degree in a physical science, engineering, or mathematics (preferably Chemical or Mechanical Engineering).
  • Knowledge and understanding of rotating machinery such as pumps, compressors, and mechanical seals, as well as fluid-handling equipment like piping, valves, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers.
  • Experience working in the engineering sector, although recent graduates may be considered for a Junior Sales Engineer role.
  • Commercial awareness, with knowledge of sales and marketing techniques.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Excel and Project.
  • A team player attitude, self-motivation, and a 'can-do' approach.

What We Offer
  • Salary: £38,000- £45,000
  • Working Hours: 36.5 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 17:00, Friday 08:30 - 13:00)
