Clinical Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist, working in the Neonatal Occupational Therapy Service at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive occupational therapy services to premature and sick infants, working closely with our AHP colleagues in Physiotherapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Dietetics and Psychology, as well as the wider MDT.

Key Responsibilities
  • To develop and deliver care on the level 3 NICU at ELCH, including developing and implementing individualized developmental care plans for infants and their families.
  • To work as a key member of the MDT, providing specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions to infants and their families.
  • To supervise and support band 7 occupational therapists, contributing to service development alongside your colleagues in the neonatal service and the paediatric OT team.
Requirements
  • Holds HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Possesses evidence of postgraduate education in relevant clinical areas, including completed HEE Neonatal OT modules.
  • Demonstrates advanced ethical reasoning and critical reflection, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Salary

The salary for this role is £60,500-£70,230 per annum, depending on experience.
