Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced pharmacist to join our Women's and Children's Pharmacy Team at Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a specialist clinical pharmacy service to the paediatric critical respiratory team, ensuring the delivery of optimal pharmaceutical care to patients.

The role will also involve working across other areas of Women's and Children's Health, including general paediatrics, paediatric hepatology, neonatology, and maternity.

Main Duties
  • Provide pharmaceutical care and medicines management services to paediatric CF and respiratory patients.
  • Ensure delivery of optimal pharmaceutical care to other areas across Women's and Children's Health services.
  • Assist with the optimisation of Epic Electronic Healthcare Systems across paediatrics.
  • Deputise for the Principal Pharmacist Women's and Children's.
  • Participate in clinical audit, risk management, and clinical guideline development.
  • Provide supervision, education, and training to pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deputise for the Principal Pharmacist, Women and Children.
  • Act as a specialist role model and an expert in the medical management within paediatric cystic fibrosis/respiratory.
  • Lead and manage clinical pharmacy services in Women and Children in conjunction with the Principal Pharmacist.
  • Participate regularly in outpatient clinics to deliver and promote high-quality, cost-effective, and patient-focused pharmaceutical care.
  • Ensure a high level of clinical pharmacy input to the care of patients within Women and Children.
