About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Financial Advisor to join our team at Citizens Advice. As a key member of our Money Advice team, you will play a vital role in providing expert guidance and support to clients struggling with debt and financial difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality financial advice and guidance to clients, ensuring they receive the best possible support to manage their finances.
  • Assess clients' financial situations, identifying areas of concern and developing tailored plans to address their needs.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their financial goals and objectives, providing guidance on budgeting, saving, and debt management.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in welfare benefits, tax credits, and other financial regulations, ensuring clients receive accurate and relevant information.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance client outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong knowledge of welfare benefits, tax credits, and other financial regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting client needs.
  • Good IT skills, with experience of using case management systems and other software applications.
