Workday Test Coordinator Job Description

VirtualResource (VR) is a boutique consultancy that partners with businesses to optimize their HR technology landscape. We strive to create a working environment that is flexible, caring, and considerate of all needs.

We are currently looking for an experienced Workday Test Coordinator to undertake testing activities during the implementation or optimization of the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the seamless execution of the test plan, through various test phases (e.g., unit, integration, UAT, etc.) and schedules.
  • Create and review detailed test cases to ensure all business processes and Workday functionalities are tested.
  • Prioritize test cases based on critical business processes.
  • Coordinate with Workday consultants and stakeholders to ensure test coverage.
  • Work with functional and technical teams to ensure test environments are set up properly.
  • Track and log issues or defects found during testing using tools like JIRA, ALM, or ServiceNow.
  • Collaborate with the implementation team to resolve issues and re-test fixes.
  • Provide regular progress reports to project stakeholders on test execution status, including metrics on pass/fail rates, defects, and overall test health.

As a VR consultant, you will have the flexibility to manage your own day, as long as you meet your set objectives and client demands. Good communication skills and time management are essential for this role.

Requirements:
  • Experience with at least two Workday programs as Test Lead/Coordinator.
  • Strong experience in planning and managing the activities of a test plan.
  • Strong Workday understanding, especially BPs, Datasets, calc fields, integration types, etc.
  • Familiarity with different test implementation phases, including system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing.
  • Experience with various test tools.

This is a remote role, and you can be based anywhere in Europe, as long as you are authorized to work without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
