Job Description:
"We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Walsall Council Finance Professional to join our team. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial services that meet the council's objectives and statutory requirements.
"The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders. You will be responsible for managing a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of exceptional service.
"Main Responsibilities:
"• Deliver high-quality financial services that meet the council's objectives and statutory requirements
"• Manage a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of exceptional service
"• Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and improve efficiency
"• Provide financial advice and guidance to senior management and other stakeholders
"• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies
"• Maintain accurate and timely financial records and reports
"• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes as needed
"Requirements:
"• Degree in Accounting or related field
"• Minimum 5 years' experience in finance leadership roles
"• Strong leadership and management skills
"• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
"• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
"• Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial software
"Salary:
"£250 per day, depending on experience
