Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and proactive Senior Administrator to join our team at Meadowhill Care Home in Borehamwood. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the administration function of the care home, ensuring a smooth and effective service at all times.

The role will have a strong focus on HR and Finance, requiring experience in these areas to ensure a seamless delivery of administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and IT skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of HR administration, including conducting interviews, drafting employment contracts, and issuing induction and training paperwork.
  • Support Line Managers across the employee life cycle, including appraisals, performance management, absence management, and investigation meetings.
  • Work closely with the Home Manager to improve employee engagement, resolve HR issues, and ensure staff feel well supported at all times.
  • Lead in organising and supporting disciplinary and grievance hearings, as well as sickness absence management.
  • Drive a positive and engaged culture across the home, recognising staff achievements and ensuring mandatory training is up-to-date.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in HR and/or Finance administration is essential.
  • Experience working in a care home is preferable but not necessary.
  • Strong IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
