Key Holder

A Key Holder is a critical team member responsible for supporting the management team in the daily running of the store, specifically opening, closing, and operations, while driving sales through remaining consumer-focused.
Responsibilities
Holding keys for the store and being responsible for the store opening and closing processes
Supporting the management team with the daily operations of the store/counter
Reflecting a credible and professional brand image to all internal and external consumers at all times
Maximizing sales through selling, providing excellent service, and maintaining retail standards
Contributing to efficiencies through adhering to store/brand/company procedures and guidelines
Sales and Service
Consistently delivering brand service and sales expectations at all times
Participating and supporting the management team in eventing opportunities
Processing till transactions effectively, accurately, and efficiently; managing queues as necessary
Answering the phone in the correct manner and dealing with consumer queries accurately
Tailoring the experience to meet consumer needs, providing alternatives, and additional items and online when appropriate
Adhering to appearance guidelines and personal standards
Understanding and delivering daily and weekly brand KPIs
Engaging and communicating effectively with consumers, providing accurate advice
Effectively and efficiently dealing with stock queries from consumers
Effectively delivering brand services as required
Using social media to engage with consumers and maximize sales opportunities
Product Knowledge & Retail Standards
Identifying features and benefits of products, providing consumers with relevant information
Demonstrating a thorough understanding of the brand and product
Adhering to all store/company retail standards
Maintaining housekeeping standards
Supporting the management team with visual merchandising changes, adhering to guidelines
Maintaining an up-to-date awareness of new stock, best sellers, out-of-stock categories, and layouts
Identifying faulty stock where appropriate and taking appropriate action
Operations
Required to attend operations and stock management training
Responsible for the opening of the store and beginning preparations for the day
Responsible for closing and securing the store/counter at the end of the shift
Responsible for banking and till balancing
Ensuring the store/counter is clean and organized
Supervising the cleaning and delivery staff and overseeing them outside of business hours
Following brand/store procedures when receiving, checking, and unpacking deliveries and actioning stock movements
Storing stock as per guidelines and procedures
Accurately and effectively following stock counting procedures when required
Effectively following the replenishment process within agreed timeframes
Accurately actioning promotions and discounts as per guidelines and/or instructions
Adhering to the daily/weekly deployment rota
Keeping abreast of company/store information through workplace, team briefs, newsletters, or any other forums the brand utilizes
Adhering to all communicated company standards, policies, and procedures
Teamwork
Offering support and training to colleagues where appropriate, while ensuring own responsibilities are fulfilled
Assisting cashiers in periods of high customer volume
Treating colleagues as consumers and providing them with the best service possible
Acting as a role model and encouraging colleagues to achieve agreed standards
Taking personal responsibility and ownership for development
Understanding the company culture and promoting the brand image at all times
Seeking opportunities to share best practice in order to benefit the store
Displaying a high standard of conduct, performance, and behavior at all times, in line with company guidelines, policy, and procedure
Security and Health & Safety
Responsible for managing the alarm system, including setting and disarming it
Responsible for ensuring that the security system is in working order
Required to be a part of the store on-call team should the alarm be triggered out of hours
Identifying problems with working conditions, observed hazards/maintenance issues, and reporting them to management
Adhering to store/company security policy and procedures and taking personal responsibility
Adhering to store/company health and safety policy and procedures, ensuring compliance to legal responsibilities and obligations
Following fire safety procedures and understanding how to use associated equipment safely
Demonstrating continual awareness of all health and safety requirements relating to lifting, carrying, and effective use of ladders/steps etc.
Following and helping to organize evacuation/emergency procedures where appropriate
