About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Project Worker to join our team at Barnardo's Caern Disability Services. As a key member of our Pentland Way Residential Service, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with learning disabilities and/or autism to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support to young people in a residential setting, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and carers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual support plans, ensuring that the needs and aspirations of young people are met.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure that young people receive comprehensive and coordinated support.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above (e.g., SVQ3 children and young people) and an HNC in social services.
  • Experience working with children and young people with learning disabilities and/or autism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings.
  • Commitment to the values and principles of Barnardo's.
