Sign Language Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Teaching Assistant to support a hearing-impaired student at a thriving secondary school in Selly Oak.
This long-term supply role involves working part-time, supporting the student through their GCSEs, and ensuring they have the support needed to achieve their potential.
The inclusive and high-achieving secondary school provides an exceptional setting for both staff and students to thrive.
Key Responsibilities- Use British Sign Language (BSL) to facilitate communication and learning.
- Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within a secondary school setting.
- Proficiency in British Sign Language (BSL) (Level 2 or higher preferred).
- A genuine passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning.
- Eligibility to work in the UK and possession of an Enhanced DBS check on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system (£417 - £500 per week).
